My name is Andriy Semeniy.
For the last 10 years I have been designing apartments, houses and public spaces.
Before this I worked as an architect in large design and construction companies. I have a university degree in architecture.
On this site I want to introduce you to my work, tell you about the design process and the subtleties that you will encounter in the process of repairing your home.
What is a design project?
For most, the phrase design project is associated primarily with beautiful visualizations, then with drawings. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. A design project is a set of decisions fixed in drawings, visualizations or in any other form. The more thoughtful decisions are made during the design process, the less time and money you spend at the implementation stage.
Basic design processes.
Beginning of work.
It all starts with getting to know each other, listening to your wishes and discussing the details. Then the signing of the contract and the start of work.
The development of a design project begins with measurements and photographic fixation. This process can hardly be called creative, but it is very important. After all, a mistake made during measurements can become several mistakes in the project.
Redevelopment.
At this stage, the entire design project can already pay off if a couple of square meters of the corridor are turned into a usable area. Sometimes, with the help of redevelopment, you can get an extra room.
Each case is unique and only after redevelopment it will be clear how functionally you can improve your apartment.
Based on your wishes and measurements, I develop three redevelopment options, which show all the furniture and equipment in scale and dimensions. Each option comes with a text accompaniment, which describes the pros and cons of redevelopment.
Visualization.
This is the most favorite and long-awaited stage among customers. It's one thing to see the visualization of an apartment on the developer's website or in the sales department, and quite another when it is developed for you, your aesthetic preferences, needs and budget.
This is the most time-consuming process, as I try to make the visualization as close to the final result as possible. It is important for me that lighting fixtures, furniture, finishing materials, appliances and other elements are visualized exactly in the proportions and materials that are available. For a better understanding of how everything will look in reality, I make daytime renderings, nighttime ones with internal lighting and 360º panoramas.
Working drawings.
This is the last stage of the design. At this stage, we are discussing the location of sockets, switches, lighting groups and underfloor heating.
After agreeing on all the nuances, I translate all the decisions made into the language of builders - I make drawings. In addition to the drawings, the working documentation will also contain specifications that indicate the manufacturers and names of models of furniture, plumbing, lamps, finishing materials, doors, electrical fittings and equipment. There will also be bespoke furniture designs. According to these schemes, any firm engaged in the manufacture of furniture will be able to calculate the cost and manufacture it.
The cost of the design project is 30-40 usd / m2

The composition of the design project.
1. Redevelopment options.
In each project, I make three options for redevelopment. Each option comes with two sheets - a zoning plan and a plan for arranging furniture with dimensions. The zoning plan is needed to better understand the layout, so it contains only the necessary information and a description of the pros and cons of the layout.
On the plan for arranging furniture, I indicate all the necessary dimensions. Thanks to this, you can easily check at home how convenient this or that solution is for you.
2. Visualization.
The project includes visualizations of all rooms in two lighting options (day and night) and panoramic visualization.
At this stage, the selection of specific furniture, lighting, plumbing, finishing materials is already taking place, and on visualizations all elements (except decor) are shown in real sizes and proportions.
3. Working drawings.
An album with a completed design project includes the drawings necessary for builders; specifications of finishing materials, furniture, plumbing, lighting, etc.; furniture schemes for individual orders and visualization.

Born in Kharkov, where he received his higher education as an architect, graduating from KHSI.
After graduation, he worked for 7 years in different companies as an architect.
In 2012, he began his independent activity in the field of interior design. Over the years, I have designed more than 70 objects, gained invaluable experience not only in design, but also in working with contractors and suppliers, which I will be happy to share when working on your project.
